Webinar Headliners Provide Valuable Insights

We hope that those of you who joined us for the webinars in our 2022 programme enjoyed the insights provided by speakers Richard McCann, Sian Tranter, Will Stirling and Debbie Boone.

In ‘Resilience & Bouncing Back – Finding Solution to Challenge’, Richard McCann whose extraordinary life has included coping with the loss of his mother following her murder by notorious serial killer Peter Sutcliffe and a period of drug-use which led to his imprisonment, focused on ways to cope with life’s challenges.

Admirably, Richard managed to turn his life around completely by accepting that there will always bumps in the road, but learning how we react to these that makes the difference of either sinking or swimming.  He said key to moving forward from challenges is reacting positively and identifying a silver lining, even in adversity.

The ‘iCan’ system he has developed to focus on bouncebackability provides a simple and positive coping mechanism.

The emerging importance of clinical supervision was the focus for our second and third webinars held in March and April. ‘Using Clinical Supervision – Looking After Ourselves’ and ‘Using Clinical Supervision – Looking After Team’ were hosted by the hugely inspiring vet and clinical supervision advocate Sian Tranter. Sian was joined by eminent practitioner Clive Elwood and Steve Bailey from Space Coaching Services for her sessions.

In our webinar held at the end of May, The Future Practice – Harnessing Technology To Help Your Team’, veterinary digital marketing expert Will Stirling of VetsDigital focused on the importance of practices getting the right systems and support in place.  He says that having these in place is one of the major things that separates the most successful vet businesses from the ones that are struggling to survive.

For our latest webinar, Managing Challenging People & Difficult Conversations, we were joined by veterinary consultant Debbie Boone, one of America’s most prominent veterinary communications consultants who specialises in business and team management.

Debbie provided guidance and practical tips for veterinary practice staff on this emotive issue which many people struggle to manage in the workplace.

All webinars have been posted in the News section of our website for viewing.
